| The department of music is situated in the magnificent and good architectured building of Kala Bhawan. The major focus of the department in teaching and research is to make expert in Rags, Laya and Tals. The department has full academic and administrative and partial financial autonomy. The average work-load of each teacher in terms of actual contact lectures per week is as per UGC norms. 6 hours a day is the time spent by a teacher with students (other than research scholars). Teachers update their classroom instruction / research by attending workshops, seminars, conferences and reading journals. |
